Autor : Pintor Ibarra, Luis Fernando
Resumen : In this study, the primary composition and proximate analysis of the woods of Acacia farnesiana (L.) Willd, Acacia pennatula (Schl. et Cham) Benth, Albizia plurijuga (Standl.) Britton &amp; Rose, and Prosopis laevigata (Humb. &amp; Bonpl.) were determined using TGA with DTG deconvolution and a chemical method. In addition, the higher heating value was determined using a calorimetric bomb and based on mathematical models. Organic and inorganic elemental analysis was also performed. It turned out that, for the cellulose in the wood of the four Fabaceae species, the hypothesis proposed in this study was confirmed, with consistent results between the TGA-DTG method and the chemical method. The same was true for the hemicelluloses and lignin in the wood of Acacia pennatula and Albizia plurijuga. In particular, statistical differences were found only for the extractives in the wood of A. farnesiana. With regard to proximate analysis, the hypothesis was also confirmed, with consistency found between methods for the ash content in the woods of Albizia plurijuga and Prosopis laevigata. Likewise, this was the case for volatile matter in the wood of Acacia farnesiana, A. pennatula, and Albizia plurijuga. With regard to the gross calorific value measured using the calorimetric bomb and based on estimates derived from chemical composition and proximate analysis for the wood of Albizia plurijuga and Prosopis laevigata, no significant statistical differences were found. Organic elemental analysis of wood from four Fabaceae species revealed that the nitrogen concentration falls below the technical limit of (N, ?0.5) for their commercialization as solid biofuels. In the inorganic fraction, 18 elements were identified in the ash, the most abundant of which were K, Ca, P, Sr, Na, and Mg.; En la presente investigación se determinó la constitución primaria y el análisis proximal de las maderas de Acacia farnesiana (L.) Willd, Acacia pennatula (Schl. et Cham) Benth, Albizia plurijuga (Standl.) Britton &amp; Rose y Prosopis laevigata (Humb.

Resumen : This thesis details the synthesis of an advanced composite under green chemistry principles, using recycled expanded polystyrene as a carbon source to produce nanostructures via Chemical Vapor Deposition. These spherical structures were integrated into a polymer matrix through solvent mixing and sonification. Subsequent SEM and Raman analyses corroborated the effectiveness of the interaction and the homogenous reinforcement distribution within the matrix. The implementation of physical tests resulted in the observation of a substantial increase in Vickers microhardness and an enhancement in tribological performance. This phenomenon can be attributed to the action of the nanospheres, which functioned as solid lubricants, thereby leading to a reduction in the friction coefficient. Furthermore, the incorporation of carbon nanostructures into the material resulted in the enhancement of electrical conductivity, a property that was previously absent in the insulating material.

Resumen : The research discussed below aims to analyze the territorial impacts of each component of smart tourism in two urban heritage destinations that are at different levels of maturity in the tourism industry, but that share a tourist vocation and some features in terms of population and dimensions of the territory to be studied: historic center of Morelia and historic center of Seville. The scientific method includes field research to gather information through a research instrument applied to public and private tourism organizations in both cities. The results were used to create a variance-based structural equation modeling, specifically partial least squares. The impact of the five components of smart tourism for Seville was confirmed, particularly in terms of sustainability and accessibility, but two challenges remain: sustainable employment in the tourism sector and the impact of mass tourism on citizens' daily lives.

Resumen : Water resource management in the Cuitzeo Basin faces structural challenges arising from the interaction between water concessions, climatic availability, and agricultural demand. This study comprehensively analyzes the relationship between the concessioned and actual water volumes recorded in the Public Registry of Water Rights (REPDA), the quality and adjustment of climatic data, and the water footprint of the main crops, with the aim of evaluating the sustainability of water use in the region. Initially, it was identified that the systems used to grant water concessions do not incorporate hydroclimatic factors, resulting in an excessive allocation of the available water resources. This situation is particularly pronounced in municipalities such as Morelia and Zinapécuaro, where both urban and agricultural water demands are high. Furthermore, a land-use transition toward high-value, water-intensive crops, such as avocado and strawberry, has been observed. These crops are gradually replacing traditional rainfed agricultural systems, thereby increasing pressure on water availability. Secondly, the study addressed the challenge of obtaining reliable climatic data. By comparing data from CONAGUA meteorological stations with the NASA POWER satellite database, adjustment methods based on percentage difference and linear regression were evaluated. The results indicate that, although significant discrepancies exist—particularly in precipitation data—regression models perform better in terms of mean squared error, making them a more robust alternative for completing incomplete climatic records. Finally, through the application of CROPWAT 8.0, the water footprint (green and blue) of representative crops was calculated for more than 36,000 production units. The results reveal a structural water deficit of 218.81 hm³ per year when total crop water demand is compared with the volume of water concessioned. Maize accounts for the largest proportion of the blue water footprint, while crops such as avocado have a disproportionate impact in groundwater recharge areas.; La gestión del recurso hídrico en la cuenca de Cuitzeo enfrenta desafíos estructurales derivados de la interacción entre concesiones de agua, disponibilidad climática y demanda agrícola.
