Arquitectura de integración, una vivienda vernácula en Tzintzuntzán

Abstract

Vernacular housing takes advantage of the materials available in the region, to protect against inclement weather, to solve social and economic needs, thus adapting to the local environment. It is characterized by maintaining the architectural style of the region and keeping the identity of the community which must be preserved and protected, for future generations. This vernacular legacy is threatened by the forces of cultural and architectural homogenization, where the vernacular structures are facing obsolescence and integration. The project is to recycle a typical house of Tzintzuntzan, giving it a new use an also integrating a new building. Such intervention is carried out taking into account the principles of restoration to obtain a proper and respectful work, without altering the facades or basic structures. On the bachelorDegreeWork hand, we also took into account the design method of Analogy or Volumetry to achieve an integrational proposal, which seeks harmony between the old and new constructions.

La vivienda vernácula, hace uso de los recursos materiales de la región, para protegerse de las inclemencias del tiempo y resolver necesidades sociales y económicas, logrando así, adaptarse al entorno. Se caracteriza por mantener el estilo arquitectónico de la región, conformando la identidad de la propia comunidad; razón por la cual hay que conservarlo y protegerlo, para heredarlo a las generaciones futuras. Éste legado patrimonial vernáculo se ve amenazado por las fuerzas de homogenización cultural y arquitectónica, en donde las estructuras vernáculas se ven obligadas a enfrentar problemas de obsolescencia e integración. El proyecto consiste en reciclar una vivienda típica de Tzintzuntzan, dándole un nuevo uso. Además se integra una nueva construcción. Tal intervención es llevada a cabo tomando en cuenta, los principios de Restauración para lograr un trabajo adecuado y respetuoso, sin romper fisionomías y referentes urbanos. Por otro lado, también se tomó en cuenta el método de diseño por Analogía o Volumetría para lograr una propuesta de Integración, la cual busca la armonía entre la construcción antigua y la nueva.
