Rehabitar un edificio para vivienda y hostal para jóvenes en la colonia Industrial en Morelia, Michoacán

Abstract

In recent years there has been an excessive construction without proper regulation, generating the growth of cities uncontrollably, creating a big problem in different parts of the world, decentralization and with it the loss of human relationships and the quality of life, while in the historic centers the percentage of abandoned buildings grows, unused spaces with a context that could be characterized by great power. This work arises from the interest of recovering a building that is in disuse, previously with a utility as workshop and warehouse of a furniture store, it has a favorable structure, capacity for modifications and an urban context that is characterized by its residential and commercial use, it is located in an old industrial zone and has an important proximity to the historic center of Morelia, considered a world heritage city and capital of the state of Michoacan, which receives a lot of young travelers and students, which currently do not have a formal accommodation option in the city. P’urhé, is a space created for young people, where they can live, rent, visit, find work options and services. The main objective of the project is to cover the needs of the user who comes to live or visit the city, through a building, socially and economically sustainable, as well as promoting the traditions and cultures of the state of Michoacan.

En los últimos años se ha tenido una construcción excesiva sin una regulación adecuada, generando el crecimiento de las ciudades descontroladamente, creando un gran problema en distintas partes del mundo, la descentralización y con ello la perdida de las relaciones humanas y la calidad de vida, mientras que en los centros históricos el porcentaje de edificios abandonados crece, espacios no aprovechados con un contexto que podría caracterizarse de gran potencia. Este trabajo surge del interés de recuperar un edificio que se encuentra en desuso, anteriormente con una utilidad como taller y bodega de una mueblería, cuenta con una estructura favorable, capacidad de modificaciones y un contexto urbano que se caracteriza por su uso habitacional y comercial, se encuentra ubicado en una antigua zona industrial y tiene una importante cercanía del centro histórico de Morelia, considerada una ciudad patrimonio de la humanidad y capital del estado de Michoacán, la cual recibe una gran cantidad de jóvenes viajeros y estudiantes, los cuales actualmente no tienen una opción de alojamiento formal en la ciudad. P’urhé, es un espacio creado para jóvenes, en donde pueden habitar, alquilar, visitar, encontrar opciones de trabajo y servicios. El principal objetivo del proyecto es cubrir las necesidades del usuario que llega a vivir o visitar la ciudad, a través de un edificio, sostenible social y económicamente, así como promover las tradiciones y culturas del estado de Michoacán.
