Xochimilco ciudad. Corredor turístico cultural Tepepan

Abstract

Xochimilco is a living reflect of the natural and historic wealth that maintain alive the culture and pre-Hispanic traditions. Recognizing the patrimonial values, the next work contextualizes the way to rescue the pre-Hispanic culture, problematical of growing in the urban areas and inadequate way to do touristic activities. It identifies the patrimonial values of the towns, creating the Inventario Normativo del Patrimonio Arquitectónico where it can find the mains points that represents a high potential of intervention since the first inventory; it develops like an approach of intervention a Master Plan called XOCHIMILCO CIUDAD, this contains eight points of intervention that will be like “bridges”, connecting the socials, economics and touristic activities with the patrimonial sites. Continuing with the Master Plan, it develops an urban project called Corredor Turístico Cultural Tepepan that in three steps of intervention, link the patrimonial sites of Xochimilco and the native’s dynamics of Santra María Tepepan´s town.

Xochimilco es reflejo palpante de la riqueza natural e histórica, que mantienen viva la cultura y las tradiciones prehispánicas. Reconociendo los valores patrimoniales, el siguiente trabajo contextualiza la importancia del rescate de la herencia prehispánica de las problemáticas consecuentes del crecimiento urbano y las inadecuadas dinámicas turísticas. Se identificaron los valores patrimoniales de pueblos y barrios de la delegación creando el Inventario Normativo del Patrimonio Arquitectónico, donde se puntualiza los sitios que representan un alto potencial de intervención, a partir del inventario, se desarrolla como propuesta de intervención un Plan Maestro denominado XOCHIMILCO CIUDAD; donde se plantean ocho puntos de intervención que actuaran como bisagras urbanas, conectando las actividades sociales, económicas y turísticas, con los sitios patrimoniales. Dando continuidad al plan maestro, se desarrolla el proyecto urbano Corredor Turístico Cultural Tepepan, que, bajo tres escalas de intervención vincula los sitios patrimoniales de Xochimilco y las actividades innatas del pueblo Santa María Tepepan.
