Nueva “Unidad de Medicina Familiar” en el Mpio. Paracho, Michoacán

Abstract

The Family Medicine Units (UMF), have been created as a response to the IMSS to provide a better service to the population entitled, in this case for the municipality of Paracho, Michoacán. This purpose is inscribed in the imposed social solidarity within which it is essential to bring medicine to social welfare, promoting greater physical and functional proximity. Due to the increase in population, population growth and the institutional expansion of IMSS coverage, it has helped to accelerate the search for more appropriate solutions, thereby modifying the structure of medical services for the benefit of the population served or to be attended, as well as of greater efficiency in the use of resources.

Las Unidades de Medicina Familiar (UMF), se han creado como una respuesta al IMSS para otorgarle un mejor servicio a la población derechohabiente, en este caso para los del municipio de Paracho, Michoacán. Este propósito se inscribe en el impuso a la solidaridad social dentro del cual se hace indispensable acercar a la medicina al bienestar social, propiciando una mayor cercanía tanto físico como funcional. Debido al aumento de la población, el crecimiento demográfico y a la expansión institucional de la cobertura del IMSS, contribuyo a acelerar la búsqueda de soluciones más apropiadas, con ello modificar la estructura de los servicios médicos en beneficio de la población atendida o por atender, así como de una mayor eficiencia en el uso de los recursos.
