FABLAB NICOLAITA. Laboratorio de fabricación digital en la Ciudad Universitaria de la Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo en Morelia, Michoacán, México

Abstract

The purpose of the following work is the compilation of the research carried out for the development of the architectural and executive project of the fablab nicolaita and the results of the project. The Nicolaita fablab is conceived as a space integrated into the fablab world network, which has the capacity to develop and share the information generated worldwide. In this way, to solve the existing lack in the campus of the university city of a space in which the students of the UMSNH can work together. The nicolaita fablab will be a space that has the necessary tools to develop prototypes, but it will also have infrastructure that allows collaborative work, the creation of human relations and the exhibition of results. The material and formal search was carried out following the standards of sustainable architecture, and with the intention of integrating the building into its context in a functional and formal way.

El propósito del siguiente trabajo es la compilación de la investigación realizada para el desarrollo del proyecto arquitectónico y ejecutivo del fablab nicolaita y los resultados del proyecto. El fablab nicolaita se concibe como un espacio integrado a la red mundial fablab, que cuenta con la capacidad de desarrollar y compartir la información generada mundialmente. De esta manera, solventar la carencia existente en el campus de ciudad universitaria de un espacio en que puedan trabajar de manera conjunta los estudiantes de la UMSNH. El fablab nicolaita será un espacio que tenga las herramientas necesarias para desarrollar prototipos, pero también contará con infraestructura que permita el trabajo de manera colaborativa, la creación de relaciones humanas y la exposición de resultados. La búsqueda material y formal se realizó siguiendo los estándares de arquitectura sustentable, y con la intención de integrar el edificio a su contexto de manera funcional y formal.
