Casa del adulto mayor en Charo, Mich.

Abstract

In the community of Charo, a part of the population, specifically older adults affected by loneliness, neglect and abuse. Given this, they spend their time in the main square where they gather most of their time for recreational and social activities. For this age it is difficult not to be in suitable conditions, since there is a higher percentage in acquiring diseases. In Charo there is no institution that offers opportunities for the elderly to spend their free time, since the people or their relatives in charge of them, have their work activities, are usually left alone. They tend to feel abandoned either by age, loss of skills, or lack of time to live with their families, and going to the square for them is a way to stay active. The main objective of this research is the realization of a space specially designed for this percentage of the population, through the elaboration of spaces where recreational activities can be created. For the analysis of this research, several aspects will be taken into account, from user interaction, climatological aspects, design criteria to construction regulations so that the project is executed in the best possible way. Taking this into account, an executive project was carried out, projecting a daytime stay for the elderly, in order to improve the well-being of this sector of the population through workshops, games, recreational spaces, etc., so that they feel comfortable and have a place where they can enjoy the best way of their time as well as being a place especially for them.

En la comunidad de Charo, una parte de la población, específicamente los adultos mayores sufren soledad, abandono y maltrato. Dado esto, ellos pasan su tiempo en la plaza principal donde se reúnen la mayor parte de su tiempo para realizar actividades recreativas y sociables. Para esta edad es complicado no estar en condiciones aptas, ya que existe un mayor porcentaje en adquirir enfermedades. En Charo no existe alguna institución que ofrezca oportunidades a las personas de tercera edad para pasar su tiempo libre, dado que las personas o sus familiares a cargo de ellas, tienes sus actividades de trabajo, suelen quedarse solos. Suelen sentirse abandonados ya sea por la edad, la pérdida de habilidades, o por la falta de tiempo de convivencia con sus familiares, y el acudir a la plaza para ellos es una manera de mantenerse activos. El objetivo principal de esta investigación es la realización de un espacio diseñado especialmente para este porcentaje de la población, mediante la elaboración de espacios donde se puedan crear actividades recreacionales. Para el análisis de esta investigación se tomaron en cuenta varios aspectos, desde la interacción del usuario, aspectos climatológicos, criterios de diseño hasta reglamentos constructivos con el fin de que el proyecto se ejecute de la mejor manera posible. Teniendo esto en cuenta, se realizó un proyecto ejecutivo, proyectando una estancia diurna para el adulto mayor, con el fin de mejorar el bienestar este sector de la población a través de talleres, juegos, espacios recreativos etc., para que ellos se sientan cómodos y tengan un lugar donde aprovechar de mejor manera su tiempo además de que es un lugar especialmente diseñado para ellos.
