Remodelación y ampliación de la biblioteca central en ciudad universitaria. UMSNH, Morelia, Michoacán

Abstract

The environment of libraries is changing as is the case in other social environments; they must be in a world in which every day the information is in digital format, accessible at any time and place. This is why several libraries are redesigning their spaces and their rules to correspond to the new behaviors, needs and habits demanded by users and their communities. Changing the ideology that people in a library have, and what can be perceived as a space that generates content, creation and revitalization of their community. In the following work, the current situation in which one of the most important university libraries in the city of Morelia, the UMSNH library, was analyzed. And according to the analysis carried out and their respective conclusions, it proposes the rehabilitation of the place adapting to the new generations of students and the way of generating knowledge.

El ambiente de las bibliotecas está cambiando al igual que ocurre en otros entornos sociales; deben adaptarse a un mundo en el que cada día la información se encuentra en formato digital, accesible en cualquier momento y lugar. Es por esto por lo que varias bibliotecas están rediseñando sus espacios y sus reglas para corresponder a los nuevos comportamientos, necesidades y hábitos que demandan los usuarios y sus comunidades. Cambiando la ideología que tienen las personas de una biblioteca, y que esta pueda ser percibida como un espacio generador de contenido, creación y dinamización de su comunidad. En el siguiente trabajo, se analizó la situación actual en la que se encuentra una de las bibliotecas universitarias más importantes de la ciudad de Morelia, la biblioteca perteneciente a la UMSNH. Y de acuerdo con el análisis realizado y sus conclusiones respectivas, se propone la rehabilitación del lugar adaptándose a las nuevas generaciones de estudiantes y la forma de generación de conocimiento.
