Parque del libro, en Lagunillas, Michoacán

Abstract

The UMSNH, through the coordination of the Master's Degree in Advanced Design (MDA) and the Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, were pleased to collaborate with the Municipal Council of the municipality of Lagunillas, Michoacán, so that, after an analysis of the place, and by means of architectural strategies, landscape and citizen participation, is faced with current issues of vulnerability, poverty, unemployment, educational lag, social cohesion and deterioration of the natural environment, in a rural-urban context . As a result of the study, areas of opportunity were identified to contribute to the reduction of the educational backwardness and the illiteracy of Lagunillas, Michoacán, for which a Literacy and Reading Promotion Center is proposed. This document shows the process prior to the deliberation of the project, its importance and impact on the community, as well as its development, emphasizing the benefits that the habit of reading brings to a society; all this in an academic exercise as well as participation with its inhabitants.

La Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo, a través de la coordinación de la Maestría en Diseño Avanzado (MDA) y la Licenciatura en Arquitectura, tuvieron a bien colaborar con el H. Ayuntamiento del municipio de Lagunillas, Michoacán, para que, tras realizar un análisis del municipio mencionado, y por medio de estrategias arquitectónicas, paisajísticas y de participación ciudadana, se haga frente a problemáticas actuales de aspectos como vulnerabilidad, pobreza, desempleo, rezago educativo, cohesión social y deterioro del ambiente natural, en un contexto rural-urbano. Como resultado del estudio, se detectaron áreas de oportunidad para contribuir a la disminución del rezago educativo y la analfabetización de Lagunillas, Michoacán, y como parte de la solución se propone el Parque del Libro, un Centro de Alfabetización y Fomento a la Lectura. En el presente trabajo se muestra el proceso previo a la deliberación del proyecto, su importancia e impacto en la comunidad, así como su desarrollo, enfatizando en los beneficios que el hábito de la lectura trae consigo a una sociedad; todo esto en un ejercicio tanto académico como de participación con sus habitantes.
