Centro de desarrollo cultural y turístico de difusión de la cultura purépecha

Abstract

Michoacan has a great cultural, historical and natural wealth, where the Purhépecha Culture stands out with great value. However, on the contrary, it is one of the states in the country with one of the lowest levels of economic development, high marginalization and the number one in percentage of migration index in its various regions and, mainly, in its indigenous communities. Hence, given the great importance of that great potential that symbolizes its tangible and intangible cultural heritage and tourist attraction, it should be a basis for the creation of well-being, economic and social development in the area. These customs and traditions need a place that lodges a cultural center that exhibits its historical-cultural wealth, exhibitions of handicrafts and trades, music and dance festivals, theatrical performances, spaces where the Purhépecha community can teach, show, offer, and share their artistic and handicraft products. The present work aims to contribute to the design of a container space for the essence and richness of the Purhépecha Culture, which represents its identity, based on the physical, spatial, formal design and construction system characteristics, but which primary objective is to create an architectural proposal with a contemporary language that combines the previous aspects, that strengthens and rescues the majesty of that tangible and intangible cultural heritage with a greater diffusion of the area and, therefore, it generates a well-being for its communities. Selecting the region of the Meseta or Sierra for being one of the four regions that make up the one with the greatest marginalization and, specifically, the town of Angahuan for its strategic location with the other communities, natural heritage, built heritage and an obligatory step in the tour to the Paricutín volcano.

Michoacán posee una gran riqueza cultural, histórica y natural, donde destaca con gran valor la Cultura Purépecha. Sin embargo, en contraste, es uno de los estados en el país con uno de los niveles más bajos de desarrollo económico, alta marginación y el primero en porcentaje de índice de migración en sus diversas regiones y principalmente, en sus comunidades indígenas. De ahí la gran importancia potencial que simboliza su patrimonio tangible e intangible y su atractivo turístico, como una base para la creación de bienestar, desarrollo económico y social en la zona. Estas costumbres y tradiciones necesitan de un lugar que aloje un centro cultural que exhiba su riqueza histórica-cultural, exposiciones de artesanías y oficios, se realicen festivales de música, danza, representaciones teatrales, espacios donde la comunidad purépecha pueda enseñar, ofrecer, y compartir sus productos artísticos y artesanales. El presente trabajo pretende contribuir con el diseño de un espacio contenedor de la esencia y riqueza de la Cultura Purépecha, que represente su identidad, basado en las características físicas, espaciales, formales, de diseño y sistema constructivo, pero cuyo objetivo primordial sea el crear una propuesta arquitectónica con un lenguaje contemporáneo que conjugue los aspectos anteriores, que fortalezca y rescate la majestuosidad de ese patrimonio cultural tangible e intangible con una mayor difusión de la zona y por ende genere un bienestar de sus comunidades. Hemos seleccionado en la región de la Meseta o Sierra por ser una de las cuatro regiones que la componen la de mayor marginación, y en específico a la localidad de Angahuan por su ubicación estratégica con las demás comunidades, patrimonio natural, patrimonio edificado y paso obligado en el recorrido al volcán Paricutín.
