Abstract

The project for a Cultural and Recreational Center for Urban Art arises from the need for a proposal that contemplates art as a means of social and urban regeneration. Being urban art a form of expression available to everyone that gives a sense of belonging to a community. In addition, the reuse of an industrial building is proposed as a starting point not only towards the preservation and appreciation of this heritage, but also towards a new way of exhibiting art, where the industrial character of the building adapts to this type of art. , more free, flexible and accessible. Through urban art, it seeks to integrate various cultural, sports and recreational spaces so that they can have a better acceptance with the user and that this area can be regenerated giving it a more positive approach.

El proyecto de un Centro Cultural y Recreativo de Arte Urbano surge ante la necesidad de una propuesta que contemple al arte como un medio de regeneración social y urbana. Siendo el arte urbano una forma de expresión al alcance de todos que le otorga sentido de pertenencia a una comunidad. Además, se plantea la reutilización de un edificio industrial como punto de partida no solo hacia la preservación y valorización de este patrimonio, sino también hacia una nueva forma de exponer el arte, en donde el carácter industrial del edificio se adapta a este tipo de arte, más libre, flexible y accesible. Por medio del arte urbano se busca integrar diversos espacios tanto culturales como deportivos y recreativos para que así puedan tener una mejor aceptación con el usuario y que esta zona pueda ser regenerada dándole un enfoque más positivo.
