Estancia de atención para enfermos mentales

Abstract

In Mexico, statistics indicate that around one million 100 thousand people suffer from schizophrenia. Many of these people are not well cared for and are even abandoned by their relatives, leaving them homeless. It is stated that, in the country, about 43 thousand deaths are linked to mental disorders and people who suffer from diseases only 20% are treated by health services and centers and of these, only 50% receive adequate treatment, another 10% and 15% with disorders, reach suicide. It is believed that a project on this topic is viable, as it reinforces and complements the urban facilities that exist in the city of Morelia, since there are very few clinics that offer these services. As a result, an architectural and executive project with an asylum for 70 mentally ill patients was obtained, which has rooms for the supply of medicines, recreation workshops and psychology classrooms to provide better mental health to both internal and external people who may suffer from the disease, but without the need for internment.

En México, las estadísticas indican que alrededor de un millón 100 mil personas padecen esquizofrenia. Muchas de estas personas no son bien atendidas e incluso llegan a ser abandonadas por sus familiares dejándolos en estado de calle. Se expone que, en el país, cerca de las 43 mil defunciones están ligadas a trastornos mentales y las personas que padecen enfermedades solo el 20% son atendidas por los servicios y centros de salud y de éstas, solo el 50% reciben un tratamiento adecuado, otro 10% y 15% con trastornos, llegan al suicidio. Se cree que un proyecto de este tema es viable, pues refuerza y complementa el equipamiento urbano que existe en la ciudad de Morelia, ya que existen muy pocas clínicas que ofrecen estos servicios. Se obtuvo como resultado un proyecto arquitectónico y ejecutivo con asilo para 70 enfermos mentales, que cuenta con estancias para abastecimiento de medicinas, talleres de recreación y aulas de psicología para brindar una mejor salud mental tanto a internos como a personas externas que puedan padecer la enfermedad, pero sin la necesidad de recibir internamiento.
