Jardín botánico Morelia

Abstract

The Morelia Botanical Garden project, arises from an environmental point of view, based on the number of m2 of green areas that exist in urban centers, in this case, in the municipality of Morelia, as well as its drastic decrease thanks to the increase of infrastructure, housing developments, among others. Looking to maintain the green areas that exist in the municipality, we find the space currently known as arboretum, which is in a state of abandonment, so, recovery, Rehabilitation and maintenance of the space can be fundamental for raising awareness about the importance of green areas within urban centers, allowing maintaining ecological, recreational, ornamental and protective uses. Endeavoring to keep intact as much as possible the already existing, is the design and location of the elements to integrate, the materials used, will be ecological products, in order to harm as little as possible, the environment. This project can become an important tourist point for the municipality, thanks to the increase of tourists who are attracted to this type of place, as well as an area of research for botany, being a space with educational purpose, scientific research, conservation and exhibition.

El proyecto Jardín Botánico Morelia, surge a partir un punto de vista medio-ambiental, basado en el número de m2 de áreas verdes que existen en los centros urbanos, en este caso, en el municipio de Morelia, así como su drástica disminución gracias al aumento de infraestructura, conjuntos habitacionales, entre otros. Buscando mantener las áreas verdes que existen en el municipio, nos encontramos con el espacio conocido actualmente como arboretum, el cual se encuentra en estado de abandono, por lo que, la recuperación, rehabilitación y mantenimiento del espacio puede ser fundamental para la concientización sobre la importancia de las áreas verdes dentro de los centros urbanos, permitiendo mantener los usos ecológicos, recreativos, ornamentales y de protección. Procurando mantener intacto en lo mayor posible lo ya existente, es el diseño y localización de los elementos a integrar, los materiales utilizados, serán productos ecológicos, con la finalidad de dañar lo menos posible el medio ambiente. Este proyecto puede llegar a ser un punto turístico importante para el municipio, gracias al aumento de turistas a los que les atraen este tipo de lugares, así como un área de investigación para la botánica, siendo un espacio con finalidad educativa, de investigación científica, conservación y exhibición.
