Museo de arte contemporáneo en la ciudad de Uruapan, Michoacán

Abstract

A museum focuses on all those people who have an interest in the promotion of art and culture, museums have evolved over time, from being collections available only to a small group of people to institutions at the service of society, which acquire, they preserve, research and exhibit collections of a cultural nature for purposes of study and contemplation; in this case, it focuses on contemporary art, create a space where exhibitions from local to international artists can be held, thus promoting culture and appreciation for art. The concept is based on Vincent van Gogh’s most renowned work “The Starry Night”. As the work seeks to create a contrast between the frenetic curves of the sky and the straight and short strokes of the cypress and the city, which are represented in the composition of the museum where we have a completely curved body and a completely straight body maintaining the balance; the very characteristic pasty brushstrokes of the work are represented in the rustic finishes of the exterior; the use of the color with which the seeks to attract the attention of the spectator is achieved through the sloping ceilings and the different heights creating volumes between the different bodies that make it up. Various factors were taken into account, such as, the history of the place, the social and architectural relationships, the economic aspects, to whom the project is directed, the environmental determinants and the urban determinants, to define a concept, a geometry, to generate diagrams and programmes; up to the architectural project, which in turn is derived in topography and outline, foundation, structure, slab, masonry, hydraulic, sanitary and electrical installations, carpentry, aluminum works, construction finishes, signage, exterior works, special installations such as voice and data, fire protection system, air conditioning; among others.

Un museo se enfoca en todas aquellas personas que tengan un interés en el fomento del arte y la cultura, los museos han ido evolucionando a través del tiempo, pasaron de ser colecciones disponibles solo para un grupo reducido de personas a instituciones al servicio de la sociedad, que adquieren, conservan, investigan y exhiben colecciones de naturaleza cultural para fines de estudio y contemplación; en este caso se enfoca al arte contemporáneo, crear un espacio donde se puedan realizar exposiciones desde artistas locales hasta internacionales, fomentando así la cultura y la apreciación por el arte. Se toma como concepto la obra más reconocida de Vincent van Gogh “La noche estrellada”. Como en la obra se busca crear un contraste entre las curvas frenéticas del cielo y los trazos rectos y breves del ciprés y la cuidad, que se ven representadas en la composición del museo donde tenemos un cuerpo totalmente curvo y otro totalmente recto manteniendo el equilibrio; las pinceladas pastosas muy características de la obra se ven representadas en los acabados rústicos del exterior; el uso del color con el que se busca llamar la atención del espectador se logra mediante los techos inclinados y las diferentes alturas creando volúmenes entre los distintos cuerpos que lo conforman. Se tomaron en cuenta diversas condicionantes como lo son, la historia del lugar, las relaciones sociales y arquitectónicas, los aspectos económicos, a quien va dirigido el proyecto, las determinantes medio ambientales y las determinantes urbanas, para así definir un concepto, una geometrización, generar diagramas y programas; hasta llegar al proyecto arquitectónico, que a su vez se deriva en topografía y trazo, cimentación, estructura, losas, albañilería, instalaciones hidráulicas, sanitarias y eléctricas, carpintería, cancelería, acabados, señalética, obra exterior, instalaciones especiales como pueden ser voz y datos, sistema contra incendios, climatización; entre otras.
