Albergue para indigentes: una inserción de arquitectura contemporánea en el Centro Histórico. Morelia, Michoacán

Abstract

Currently, the increase in the number of indigent people in the city of Morelia is evident. When walking through the streets of the city, especially in the first picture of the historic center, we can observe how all these people live on the street with their own resources that are not enough to meet their needs, this being a social problem. In the architectural aspect, in Morelia there is a type of architecture that identifies the historic center, however, this project aims to show how a new architectural style can be proposed without losing the heritage value, since generations change over time, so does architecture. This paper addresses the issue of destitution as a major problem and merges with the idea of inserting new proposals for buildings that are integrated into the historical environment, and reinterpret the context, seeking an architectural solution for homeless people, as something real that is needed within our society.

Actualmente el aumento del número de personas indigentes en la ciudad de Morelia es evidente. Al caminar por las calles de la ciudad, especialmente en el primer cuadro del centro histórico, podemos observar como todas estas personas viven en la calle con sus propios recursos que no son suficientes para satisfacer sus necesidades, siendo esto un problema social. En el aspecto arquitectónico, en Morelia existe un tipo de arquitectura que identifica al centro histórico, sin embargo, este proyecto pretende mostrar cómo se puede proponer un nuevo estilo arquitectónico sin necesidad de perder el valor patrimonial, ya que las generaciones cambian con el tiempo, por lo tanto, la arquitectura también. En este documento se aborda el tema de la indigencia como problema principal y se fusiona con la idea de insertar nuevas propuestas de edificios que se integren al entorno histórico y reinterpreten el contexto, buscando una solución arquitectónica para las personas en situación de calle, como algo real que se necesita dentro de nuestra sociedad.
