Aproximaciones a la poética de Xavier Villaurrutia

Abstract

The poetry and philosophy represent the two summits of language. The first-through metaphor achieves strange realities melt together even distant in time and space. The second-through concept-seeks access to pure temporal realities that transcend our limits. Both are eminent forms of human communication. Study the work of a poet from the perspective of a philosopher is not a novel or literature or philosophy issue. Heidegger studied the poetry of Rilke, Hölderlin and Stefan George in several of his writings. To cite an example not so remote geographically, Emilio Uranga I addressed the poetry of Ramón López Velarde to understand the ontology of Mexico. The reason is simple: it is very often that a poet read a poem in which a philosopher meant a whole treatise. Or it often happens that a whole treatise finds a poet or justify their beliefs or poetic ideas. Apparently, the latter happened to Xavier Villaurrutia poetry and philosophical ideas of Martin Heidegger. While Xavier Villaurrutia belatedly discovered that Heidegger's thought, so think it unlikely that the German philosopher has influenced the verbal setting of his best poems, like notes Octavio Paz; It is also true that Xavier Villaurrutia confessed in an interview that Martin Heidegger had become the philosopher: "Every poet discovers his philosopher and I have found in Heidegger," he wrote. Probably said it because there are common themes between these two authors: fear, anxiety, human temporality, death, the nature of poetry, etc. Xavier Villaurrutia felt a strong spiritual identification (already written his most representative poems) with the thought of Martin Heidegger.

La poesía y la filosofía representan las dos cumbres del lenguaje. La primera -a través de la metáfora- logra fundir realidades extrañas entre sí, incluso lejanas en el tiempo y en el espacio. La segunda -a través del concepto- pretende acceder a realidades puras que rebasan nuestros límites temporales. Ambas son formas eminentes de la comunicación humana. Estudiar la obra de un poeta desde la perspectiva de un filósofo no es un asunto novedoso ni en la literatura ni en la filosofía. Heidegger estudió la poesía de Rilke, Hölderlin y Stefan George en varios de sus escritos. Por citar un ejemplo no tan remoto geográficamente, Emilio Uranga abordó la poesía de Ramón López Velarde para comprender la ontología del mexicano. La razón es muy sencilla: es muy frecuente que un poeta diga en un poema lo que un filósofo quiso decir en un tratado entero. O también suele suceder que en un tratado entero un poeta encuentre o justifique sus convicciones o ideas poéticas. Al parecer, esto último sucedió con la poesía de Xavier Villaurrutia y las ideas filosóficas de Martin Heidegger. Si bien es cierto que Xavier Villaurrutia descubrió tardíamente el pensamiento de Heidegger, de tal manera que resulta poco probable pensar que el filósofo alemán haya influido en la configuración verbal de sus mejores poemas, como señala Octavio Paz; también es cierto que Xavier Villaurrutia confesó en una entrevista que Martin Heidegger se había convertido en su filósofo: “Todo poeta descubre su filósofo y yo lo he encontrado en Heidegger”, escribió. Probablemente lo dijo porque existen temas comunes entre estos dos autores: el miedo, la angustia, la temporalidad humana, la muerte, la naturaleza de lo poético, etc. Xavier Villaurrutia sintió una fuerte identificación espiritual (ya escritos sus poemas más representativos) con el pensamiento de Martin Heidegger.
