Empatía. Historia de una idea de Platón al posthumano del autor Andrea Pinotti

Abstract

When Pinotti approaches the philosophical concept of the Einfühlung from a historical context, it does not mean that it is from a strictly chronological sense. Of course, it shows us the origin and emergence of the concept and how has its trajectory to the passage of time in cultural contexts, but also does so in response to the needs of each discipline in which the concept has permeated, from neurology and Medicine, going through anthropology to the aesthetic manifestation. It is a work that not only serves to inform, but to provoke anyone who is interested in pursuing research on empathy, as it does not exhaust the sense of search. Aninfo:eu-repo/semantics/other point to take into consideration, not less important, is that Pinotti develops the present work in a language accessible to anyone who wants to enter the vast world of writings on empathy, whether specialized or not in philosophy.

Cuando Pinotti aborda el concepto filosófico de la Einfühlung desde un contexto histórico, no significa que sea desde un sentido rigurosamente cronológico. Por supuesto, nos muestra el origen y surgimiento del concepto y como ha sido su trayectoria al paso del tiempo en los contextos culturales, pero también lo hace atendiendo a las necesidades de cada disciplina en que el concepto ha ido permeando, desde la neurología y la medicina, pasando por la antropología hasta llegar a la manifestación estética. Es una obra que no sólo sirve para informar, sino para provocar a todo aquel que se interese en seguir investigaciones sobre la empatía, pues no agota el sentido de búsqueda. Otro punto a tomar en consideración, no de menor importancia, es que Pinotti desarrolla la presente obra en un lenguaje accesible a todo aquel que quiera introducirse en el vasto mundo de escritos sobre la empatía, sea la persona especializada o no en filosofía.
