EL rap, el graffiti y postgraffiti como herramientas de lucha, resistencia, concienciación y reflexión social. Hacia una educación contra-hegemónica

Abstract

This research is a critical study of Hip Hop culture and its artistic elements such as rap, graffiti and post-graffiti. We analyze and unveil the backdrop with help of philosophy, the hidden side of these youthful expressions, these ways of being and creating community; their structure and organization in the face of social chaos. One of the most important aspects of these youth expressions is that they serve as liberating tools of false ideologies, dogmas and actions that limit the subject's liberation, giving existential foundations to those who are part of the Hip Hop culture. In the first chapter, we reconstruct the emergence and development of popular culture, identifying social and cultural elements that are of utmost importance for the emergence of the expressions studied. We distinguish and study graffiti and its relationship with gangs, post-graffiti and street art, and reflect on the nihilistic and patriarchal character of gangsta rap. The second chapter consists of a comparison and identification of the emergence and development of Hip Hop culture in Mexico with respect to the movement in the United States, that is, if there is an analogous or imitative emergence. We tackle the issue of individual and collective identity that is gestated in the followers of the culture, which we identify as "hiphopa" identity. We carry out an aesthetic-phenomenological analysis on the sensitive thought that we can find in the expressions of rap, graffiti and post-graffiti, which is accompanied by a poetic reason. Third chapter deals with what hegemony is and how it normalizes us through various means that serve as domination signs, we explain how a counter-hegemonic education is configured through a certain expressiveness of rap, graffiti and post-graffiti.

La presente investigación es un estudio crítico de la cultura Hip Hop y de sus elementos artísticos como el rap, graffiti y postgraffiti. Analizamos y develamos con ayuda de la filosofía el trasfondo, lo oculto de estas expresividades juveniles, estos modos de ser y de crear comunidad; su estructura y organización ante el caos social. Uno de los aspectos más importantes que sostenemos de dichas expresiones es que fungen como herramientas liberadoras de falsas ideologías, dogmas y acciones que limitan la liberación del sujeto, dando fundamentos existenciales a quienes son parte de la cultura Hip Hop. En el primer capítulo realizamos una reconstrucción sobre el surgimiento y el desenvolvimiento de la cultura popular, identificando elementos sociales y culturales que son de suma importancia para la aparición de las expresiones estudiadas. Distinguimos y estudiamos al graffiti y su relación con las pandillas, con el postgraffiti y el arte callejero, asimismo reflexionamos sobre el carácter nihilista y patriarcal del rap gangsta. El segundo capítulo consiste en una comparación e identificación del surgimiento y desenvolvimiento de la cultura Hip Hop en México con respecto al movimiento dado en Estados Unidos, es decir, si hay un surgimiento análogo o imitativo. Abordamos el problema de la identidad individual y colectiva que se gesta en los adeptos a la cultura, la cual identificamos como identidad hiphopa. Realizamos un análisis estético-fenomenológico sobre el pensamiento sensible que podemos hallar en las expresiones del rap el graffiti y postgraffiti, el cual va acompañado de una razón poética. En el tercer capítulo abordamos qué es la hegemonía y cómo se nos normaliza mediante diversos medios que sirven como signos de dominio, explicamos cómo se configura una educación contra-hegemónica mediante cierta expresividad del rap, graffiti y postgraffiti.
