Revisión sobre mastitis bovina causada por Streptococcus agalactiae

Abstract

In the present work, an overview of Streptococcus agalactiae as a causal bacterial factor of bovine mastitis, its zoonotic process, microbiology, pathogenesis, epidemiology, sources of infection, isolation and identification, sampling, prevention, herd sanitation, diagnosis is developed. and sanitation of infected animals. The methodology used consisted of a literature review. To do this, a search, collection, selection, analysis, and synthesis of updated information was carried out, consulting scientific articles, books and theses, professional services related to the subject. The scientific articles were obtained directly from the researchers, through email and postal mail, others were obtained by directly accessing databases and electronic scientific journals. The books, dissertations and theses were obtained from the library of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics. The objective of this work was to review the literature on bovine mastitis caused by Streptococcus agalaciae, thus intending to become a means of consultation for those interested in the subject.

En el presente trabajo se desarrolla un panorama general del Streptococcus agalactiae como factor bacteriano causal de la mastitis bovina, su proceso zoonótico, microbiología, patogénesis, epidemiología, fuentes de infección, aislamiento e identificación, toma de muestras, prevención, saneamiento de hatos, diagnóstico y saneamiento de animales infectados. La metodología empleada consistió en una revisión de literatura. Para ello, se llevó a cabo una búsqueda, acopio, selección, análisis, y síntesis de información actualizada, consultando artículos de divulgación científica, libros y tesis, servicios profesionales relacionados con el tema. Los artículos científicos, se obtuvieron directamente de los investigadores, a través del correo electrónico y postal, otros se obtuvieron accediendo directamente a base de datos y revistas científicas electrónicas. Los libros, tesinas y tesis se obtuvieron de la biblioteca de la Facultad de Medicina Veterinaria y Zootecnia. El objetivo del presente trabajo fue hacer una revisión de literatura sobre la mastitis bovina causada por Streptococcus agalaciae, así pretende constituirse en un medio de consulta para los interesados en el tema.
