Abstract

The situation in which food is found due to the growth of the human population worldwide; It has led to demanding a great effort in all the fields that make up animal and plant production, with the sole purpose of being able to satisfy the growing needs of humanity, in high-quality nutrients, and remedy existing famines in certain parts of the world. Fish in ponds feed primarily on aquatic organisms and, secondarily, on a more or less abundant additional diet consisting of various plant or animal products. That is why, as one more option to be able to satisfy the feeding problems for the population, fish farming has been carried out, reaching fish farms under totally different conditions in terms of economic level, which each of the countries has. This is how the cultivation of aquaculture species such as Fish, Crustaceans, Molluscs, amphibians, etc., in different parts of the world has taken a great growth and has led to the creation of farms in places with different climates, having great success in each one of them. they. In Mexico, Veterinary Education carried out for more than 150 years, was focused exclusively on the production of meat, milk, and eggs, but of terrestrial animals (homeotherms). Currently the study programs in some universities in the country deal with aquatic species. Due to the progress of aquaculture in recent years in different parts of the world and especially in Mexico, they have led to the search for the production of different species in rural areas, as another means of subsistence to improve the diet; since they contain large amounts of protein and minerals and in some cases only with surpluses, as a source of income.

La situación en que se encuentra la alimentación por el crecimiento de la población humana a nivel mundial; ha llevado a exigir un gran esfuerzo en todos los campos integrantes de la producción animal y vegetal, con el único fin de poder satisfacer las necesidades crecientes de la humanidad, en nutrientes de alta calidad y remediar hambres existentes en determinadas partes del mundo. Los peces se alimentan en los estanques por lo general primariamente con organismos acuáticos y, con carácter secundario a base de una alimentación adicional más o menos abundante constituida por diversos productos vegetales o animales. Es por ello que como una opción más en poder satisfacer los problemas de alimentación para la población, se ha llevado acabo el cultivo de peces, llegando a instalarse piscifactorías bajo condiciones totalmente diferentes en cuanto a nivel económico, que cada uno de los países posee. Es así como el cultivo de especies acuícolas como los Peces, Crustáceos, Moluscos, anfibios, etc., en diferentes partes del mundo ha tomado un gran crecimiento y ha llevado a crear granjas en lugares con climas diferentes, teniendo gran éxito en cada una de ellas. En México la Educación Veterinaria llevada a cabo durante más de 150 años, estuvo centrada exclusivamente en la producción de carne, leche, y huevo, pero de animales terrestres (homeotermos). Actualmente los programas de estudios en algunas universidades del país abordan el de las especies acuáticas. Debido al avance de la acuicultura en los últimos años en diferentes partes del mundo y sobre todo en México, han llevado a buscar la producción de diferentes especies en zonas rurales, como un medio más de subsistencia para mejorar la dieta; ya que contienen grandes cantidades de proteínas y minerales y en algunos casos solo con excedentes, como una fuente de ingresos.
