La reproducción del conejo doméstico (Oryctolagus cuniculus) y el desarrollo de las nuevas tecnologías reproductivas

Abstract

Since the 70's, rabbit farming has been evolving, involving new technologies, which are useful to improve farm production. The theme of this paper is the reproduction of the domestic rabbit and the development of new reproductive technologies. In order to have a good result with the use of these technologies, it is necessary to have an overview of the generalities of reproduction in rabbit farming, such as the anatomy and physiology of both male and female reproduction, within this They include various points such as the anatomy of the reproductive apparatus of the female, as well as the male, and the reproductive behaviors that these animals adopt, from the moment of puberty, through sexual maturity, estrous cycle, mating, gestation, childbirth, lactation and weaning, among others. There are several technologies that can be used to improve reproduction in rabbit farming, such as those mentioned here: Extension of the photoperiod by artificial light, Hormonization, Controlled Lactation, Management in bands and Artificial Insemination. The methodology used for the elaboration of the present work was carried out through a literature review which consisted of detection, obtaining, consulting, extracting and compiling relevant and necessary information related to the subject, information that was obtained from books, magazines, theses and Internet pages; Once the information was obtained, it was analyzed, to subsequently select the information that was most useful and finally to be able to integrate it into the document. The objective of this work was to carry out a literature review on the reproduction of the domestic rabbit and the new reproductive technologies that can be applied in rabbit farming.

A partir de la década de los 70’s la cunicultura ha venido evolucionando, al involucrar nuevas tecnologías, que son de utilidad para mejorar la producción de la granja. El tema del presente trabajo es la reproducción del conejo doméstico y el desarrollo de las nuevas tecnologías reproductivas. Para tener un buen resultado con el uso de estas tecnologías, es necesario que se tenga un panorama acerca de las generalidades de la reproducción en cunicultura, como es la anatomía y fisiología de la reproducción tanto del macho como de la hembra, dentro de esto se incluyen diversos puntos como es la anatomía del aparato reproductor de la hembra, así como del macho, y las conductas reproductivas que estos animales adoptan, desde el momento de la pubertad, pasando por la madurez sexual, ciclo estrual, apareamiento, gestación, parto, lactancia y destete, entre otros. Existen varias tecnologías que pueden emplearse para mejorar la reproducción en cunicultura como es el caso de las que aquí se mencionan: Ampliación del fotoperiodo mediante luz artificial, Hormonización, Lactancia Controlada, Manejo en bandas e Inseminación Artificial. La metodología empleada para la elaboración del presente trabajo se realizó mediante una revisión de literatura la cual constó de detección, obtención, consulta, extracción y recopilación de información relevante y necesaria relacionada con el tema, información que fue obtenida de libros, revistas, tesis y páginas de Internet; una vez obtenida la información se procedió a su análisis, para posteriormente realizar la selección de la información que fuera de mayor utilidad y finalmente poder realizar la integración de esta en el documento. El objetivo del presente trabajo, fue realizar una revisión de literatura sobre la reproducción del conejo doméstico y las nuevas tecnologías reproductivas que pueden aplicarse en la cunicultura.
