Resumen : | ZrO2: Er, ZrO2: Er-Yb and ZrO2: Eu photoluminescent nanocrystals were prepared by the sol-gel method and precipitation using two types of surfactants, the cationic CTAB and the nonionic Pluronic P127. The resulting crystalline structure depends on the calcined temperature and the type of ion within the zirconia structure. Nanocrystals of average size from 30 to 90 nm were prepared by the sol-gel method and nanocrystals from 18 nm to 50 nm by the precipitation method. When using CTAB, the best signal emitted in the visible, centered at 550 nm, was obtained from ZrO2: Er nanocrystals using a CTAB / ZrO 2 molar ratio of 0.2. In this case the photoluminescent emission was increased by 300% with respect to the sample prepared without using surfactant. When using Pluronic, the best emitted signal was obtained with the ZrO2: Er nanocrystals prepared at a molar ratio Pluronic / ZrO 2 = 0.0082. In this case the signal emitted in green light with respect to the sample without surfactant was increased by an order of magnitude. |
