Caracterización y factores que determinan el sistema bovino del municipio de Morelia, Michoacán

Abstract

The aim of the investigation was to characterize the production system of cattle in the municipality of Morelia, Michoacán. And identify variables that limit the operation of that system is working with nine production units in communities Chiquimitio, Cotzurio and Porvenir. the selected producers belong to GGAVATT group called "Chacuaro group." in these units the technical, economic and social data was obtained, which consisted of making a production control in different production units and structured interviews and semi structured. Technical and financial data were processed in the specialized software for production control "interherd" held at the University of Reading, UK. The economic analysis was performed using the methodology of budgeting for dairy activity proposed by Wiggins et al., (2001). Of processed data were obtained 40 technical, economic and social, which were analyzed by multivariate principal component analysis, using SAS version 8.1 package.

El objetivo de la investigación fue el caracterizar el sistema de producción de bovinos del municipio de Morelia, Michoacán; así́ como identificar las variables que limitan el funcionamiento de dicho sistema. Se trabajo con 9 unidades de producción en las comunidades de Chiquimitio, Cotzurio y el Porvenir. Los productores seleccionados pertenecen al grupo GGAVATT, llamado “Grupo Chacuaro”. De dichas unidades se obtuvo los datos técnicos, económicos y sociales, lo cual consistió́ en realizar un control de producción en las diferentes unidades de producción y entrevistas estructuradas y semi estructuradas. Los datos técnicos y financieros se procesaron en el software especializado para control de producción “interherd”, realizado en la universidad de Reading, Reino Unido. El análisis económico se realizó a través de la metodología de presupuestación para la actividad lechera propuesta por Wiggins et al., (2001). De los datos procesados se obtuvieron 40 de tipo técnico, económico y social, las cuales se analizaron a través de un análisis multivariado de componentes principales, utilizando el paquete SAS versión 8.1.
