Efecto del nivel de glucosa sanguínea sobre el consumo de alimento voluntario en cerdas lactantes y su repercusión en el intervalo destete-estro

Abstract

The objective of the research was to determine the effect of blood glucose levels (NGS) in feed intake (CAV) and its impact on weaning-to-estrus interval (IDE). For this, were used bristles 18 hybrid (Yorkshire x Landrace x Pietrain), with which formed two groups (primiparous and multiparous). Glucose was measured in fasting (pre-mealtime) at 7:00 am, on days 3, 7, 10, 14, 17 and 21 of lactation, also was measured: body weight of sows in the following manner: 5 days (d) prepartum and 21 d postpartum; CAV, loss of body weight (PPC) at the stage of lactation and IDE. With the information gathered, a database for statistical analysis was prepared by the method of Generalized Linear Models (GLM, acronym in English). Differences between groups were made under the method of least squares means (LSMEANS, acronym in English). It was found that, NGS were affected (P <0.001) by the type of bristle (TC): primiparous and multiparous. The CAV was affected by TC (P <0.001). The increase of glucose during the first week postpartum influenced the CAd-1 of the bristles and this was reflected in the CAV (P <0.001): 4.138 and 4.857 kg / d-1 for gilts and multiparous respectively when these had NGS 79.4 and 74.2 mg / Dl, respectively (in the first week of lactation). While in the third week values were 4.138 and 4.857 kg / d-1 CA and 79.4 and 74.2 mg / Dl glucose, for primiparous and multiparous respectively. The total average (CAT) sow during the lactation period (21 d) was 108133 and 121450 k; two different averages each other (P <0.05). The percentage of PPC was 11.7 and 10.5 for primiparous and multiparous, respectively; percentages were different from each other (P <0.05).

El objetivo de esta investigación fue determinar el efecto de los niveles de glucosa sanguínea (NGS) en el consumo de alimento voluntario (CAV) y su repercusión en el intervalo destete-estro (IDE). Para ello, se utilizaron 18 cerdas hibridas (Yorkshire x Landrace x Pietrain), con las que se formaron dos grupos (primíparas y multíparas). La glucosa se midió en ayunas (pre-prandial) a las 7:00 am, los días 3, 7, 10, 14, 17 y 21 de lactancia, además se midió: peso vivo de las cerdas de la siguiente manera: 5 días (d) pre-parto y a 21 d post-parto; CAV, pérdida de peso corporal (PPC) en la fase de lactación e IDE. Con la información recabada, se elaboró una base de datos para su análisis estadístico, mediante el método de los Modelos Lineales Generalizados (GLM, siglas en inglés). Las diferencias entre grupos se analizaron bajo el método de medias de mínimos cuadrados (LsMeans, siglas en inglés). Se encontró que, NGS fueron afectados (P < 0.001) por el tipo de cerda (TC): primíparas y multíparas. El CAV fue afectado por TC (P < 0.001). El incremento de glucosa durante la primera semana post-parto influyó en el CAd-1 de las cerdas y ello, se reflejó en el CAV (P < 0.001): 4.138 y 4.857 kg/d-1, para cerdas primíparas y multíparas respectivamente, cuando estas presentaron NGS de 79.4 y 74.2 mg/Dl, respectivamente (en la primera semana de lactación). Mientras que en la tercera semana los valores fueron: 5.986 y 7.008 kg/d-1 de CA y 73.9 y 66.1 mg/Dl de glucosa, para primíparas y multíparas respectivamente. El CA total (CAT) promedio por cerda durante el periodo de lactación (21 d) fue de 108.133 y 121.450 k; ambos promedios diferentes entre sí (P < 0.05).
