Abstract:	This study is dedicated to contributing to the knowledge about the History, Environmental Deterioration and Natural Resources in the Cuitzeo Lake Basin, between the 30's and 90's of the 20th century. During this period, it is when Lake Cuitzeo begins with that transformation of desiccation of its body of water of one of the largest and most important lakes in the State of Michoacán. Este estudio está dedicado a contribuir al conocimiento sobre la Historia, Deterioro Ambiental y Recursos Naturales en la Cuenca del Lago de Cuitzeo, entre los años 30´s y 90´s del siglo XX. Durante este periodo, es cuando el Lago de Cuitzeo inicia con esa transformación de desecación de su cuerpo de agua de uno de los lagos más grandes e importantes del Estado de Michoacán.
