Catálogo documental de actas capitulares del Archivo Histórico de la Catedral de Morelia, libro 68 (1876-1881).

Abstract

The catalog presented below is extremely important because it serves to safeguard the memory and documentary heritage of the Morelia Cathedral Chapter; I must mention that the Cabildo was the one that governed life in the bishopric of Michoacán during the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries, interfering in the economy, in the mentality of society through religion, and in cultural matters. I clarify that the stage of which I am speaking here is during the second half of the 19th century when the Bishopric was established as an Archbishopric; dark times for the Church throughout Mexico, but despite the blows it suffered, it retains its great influence over the Mexicans and that from 1877 with the arrival of Porfirio Díaz to power begins to recover. I must say that the cataloging work was arduous, since the book that was assigned to me yielded a total of 1815 records. The capture of all the issues took a period of six months, from July to December 2011. What was carried out later corresponded to the months that run from January to July 2012, and was the elaboration of the onomastic, geographical and thematic. Finally, I addressed the theoretical part of the catalog that consists of various parts, each one very important: A justification, where the importance of said catalog is mentioned, while integrating the lines of research that can be generated through its proper use. For example: economic history, history of religions etc. Another part that includes the objectives, as well as the methodology used; The archival criteria used are expressed, as well as diplomatic, paleographic and legal framework.

El catálogo que a continuación se presenta es de suma importancia porque sirve para resguardar la memoria y patrimonio documental del Cabildo de Catedral de Morelia; debo mencionar que el Cabildo fue el que rigió durante los siglos XVI, XVII y XVIII la vida en el obispado de Michoacán, interfiriendo en la economía, en la mentalidad de la sociedad a través de la religión, y en cuestiones culturales. Aclaro que la etapa de la que aquí hablo es durante la segunda mitad del siglo XIX cuando el Obispado es erigido en Arzobispado; tiempos oscuros para la Iglesia en todo México, pero que a pesar de los golpes que sufrió conserva su gran influencia sobre los mexicanos y que a partir de 1877 con la llegada de Porfirio Díaz al poder comienza a recuperarse. Debo decir que el trabajo de catalogación fue arduo, pues el libro que me fue asignado arrojó un total de 1815 fichas. La captura de todos los asuntos tomó un periodo de seis meses, de julio a diciembre de 2011. Lo que después se llevó a cabo correspondió a los meses que corren de enero a julio de 2012, y fue la elaboración de los índices onomástico, geográfico y temático. Por último, abordé la parte teórica del catálogo que consta de diversas partes, cada una muy importante: Una justificación, donde se menciona la importancia de dicho catálogo, a la vez que se integran las líneas de investigación que se pueden generar a través de su uso adecuado. Por ejemplo: historia económica, historia de las religiones etc. Otra parte que engloba los objetivos, así como la metodología usada; se expresan los criterios archivísticos utilizados, como también diplomáticos, paleográficos y el marco jurídico.
