La Quinta Ruiz y el café de Uruapan en el siglo XIX

Abstract

The present work entitled La Quinta Ruiz and the coffee of Uruapan in the 19th century, gives us an approach to the most important events of this time in the city of Uruapan, as well as its economic and therefore social growth that is clearly one of its most outstanding since by their natural resources was seen as an important place for industry and agriculturethat attracted foreign investment and which formed part of their development; In addition to its strategic location that connects to the capital of the State with hot Earth and the coast earned him significant contributions of the federal Government as the introduction of the railroad. The fertility of its soils that make a place for the harvest of various products that are for personal consumption and for export of Uruapan were another factor influencing the population, one that is the line that carries the study of our project is coffee, which from the first half of the 19th century marked significantly to Uruapan, taking it to grow rapidly by this coffee fever that occurred within the entity, is you even name a grain of gold by the source of jobs that I mean and stability that gave many of the families who were engaged in the harvest, including the family's Ruiz that within his fifth that houses the Cupatitzio River began to harvest the coffee and such was their impact that neighbors followed his example and changed some products like maize for the coffee.

El presente trabajo titulado La Quinta Ruiz y el café de Uruapan en el siglo XIX, nos da un acercamiento a los acontecimientos más importantes de este tiempo en la Ciudad de Uruapan, así como su crecimiento económico, y por tanto social que es claramente uno de sus puntos más sobresalientes ya que por sus riquezas naturales fue visto como un lugar importante para la industria y la agricultura, que atrajeron inversiones extranjeras y que formaron parte de su desarrollo; además de su ubicación estratégica que conecta a la capital del estado con tierra caliente y la costa le valieron importantes aportaciones del gobierno federal como la introducción del ferrocarril. La fertilidad de sus suelos que hacen de Uruapan un lugar apto para la cosecha de varios productos que son para autoconsumo y para la exportación fueron otro factor que influyó en la población, Uno de ellos que es la línea que lleva el estudio de nuestro proyecto es el café, que desde la primera mitad del siglo XIX marcó significativamente a Uruapan, llevándola a crecer de manera rápida por esta fiebre cafetalera que se dio dentro de la entidad, incluso se le llegó a nombrar el grano de oro por la fuente de empleos que significo y la estabilidad que dio a muchas de las familias que se dedicaban a su cosecha, entre ellas la familia de los Ruiz que dentro de su Quinta que alberga el río Cupatitzio se comenzó a cosechar el café y fue tal su impacto que vecinos siguieron con su ejemplo y cambiaron algunos productos como el maíz por el café.
