Festividades en el pueblo de Uruapan

Abstract

Religious festivals were part of evangelization, these festivities dedicated to the saints, were intended to promote the Catholic faith among the converts natural through groups and institutions dedicated to monitoring compliance and performing them with funding, as were the brotherhoods and hospitals. On the other hand, in many places natives were grouped into neighborhoods, which had also had to carry out festivities dedicated to the saints, for which every neighborhood had material resources for this purpose. This work is analyzed from the perspective of the festivities themselves as well as from groups and institutions that were responsible for compliance with them in the town of Uruapan, and how was the social sence about festivities.

Las festividades religiosas formaron parte de la evangelización, dichas fiestas dedicadas a los santos, tenían la finalidad de promover la fe católica entre los naturales conversos a través de grupos e instituciones dedicadas a vigilar el cumplimiento y la realización de éstas junto con su financiamiento, como fueron las cofradías y los hospitales de indios. Por otro lado, en muchos lugares los naturales fueron agrupados en barrios, los cuales también llevaban a cabo festividades dedicadas a los santos, para lo cual cada barrio contaba con medios materiales para dicho propósito. El presente trabajo se analiza desde el enfoque social que estás festividades tenían y cómo a través de las mismas se cristalizó su sentido social acompañado.
