Ramón Rayón. Hacendado, insurgente y Trigarante (1777 – 1839)

Abstract

The reconstruction of the life of a man with such a vast mobility and immersed in complex process represents a academic hard work and investigation. Individualizing it and making it visible has been hard, but it is the goal of this project titled “Ramón Rayón insurgent and trigarante, landowner (1777-1839)”, which is presented in the form of a Biography and from the perspective of the military history it tries to show the reader the political and military role that Ramón Rayón played in a period of political and social transitions that goes from the decadent New Spain to the nascent Mexico including from the ending of the XVIII century to the beginning of the XIX century.

La reconstrucción de la vida de un hombre con tanta movilidad e inmerso en procesos tan complejos representa un arduo trabajo académico y de investigación. El individualizarlo y hacerlo visible ha sido difícil, pero es la meta de este proyecto titulado "Ramón Rayón Hacendado Insurgente y Trigarante (1777-1839)", el cual presentado en forma de Biografía y desde la perspectiva de la historia militar pretende acercar al lector al conocimiento del rol político y militar que jugó Ramón Rayón en un período de transiciones políticas y sociales que va de la decadente Nueva España al naciente México abarcando desde finales del siglo XVIII hasta entrado el siglo XIX.
