Violencias, libertades y arte en los nuevos espacios virtuales

Abstract

The subject of the present thesis, entitled "Violence, Freedom and Art in the new virtual spaces" is part of a macro research on the transgressive artistic discourse, which materializes in potentially lived and read forms (on the other, by the others) as narratives of "violence" against the concrete exercise of fundamental freedoms, in particular the freedom of expression in cyberspace. Throughout the development of the theme we have worked from two great axis of the new personal and social interactions in the environments of the Telepolis. These axes are explored through four major chapters in which we will analyze, on the one hand, the concept of information, the principles inherent to freedom of expression and, as we referred above, and its exercise in virtual spaces through the artistic creation and the limits of the discourse of violence within this last space. For methodological reasons we have chosen to place as central the emergence of new identities that create tribalisms -the digital tribes- and, from them, attempted to analyze the ruptures and energies created by the friction between freedom to create and violence (or better, its limits). For operational issues of delimitation of the subject, we focus on the musical creation, in particular urban genres.

El tema objeto de la presente tesis, titulada ―Violencias, Libertades y Arte en los nuevos espacios virtuales‖ se enmarca en una investigación macro sobre el discurso artístico transgresor, que se materializa en formas potencialmente vividas y leídas (por el otro, los otros)1 como narrativas de la ―violencia‖ frente al ejercicio concreto de las libertades fundamentales, en particular la libertad de expresión en el ciberespacio. A lo largo del desarrollo del tema hemos trabajado a partir de dos grandes aristas el de las nuevas interacciones personales y sociales en los ambientes de la Telepolis. Los ejes están trabajados a lo largo de cuatro grandes capítulos en que analizaremos, por un lado, el concepto de información, los principios inherentes a la libertad de expresión y, tal como lo referimos arriba, su ejercicio en los espacios virtuales a través de la creación artística y de los límites del discurso de las violencias dentro de este último espacio. Por cuestiones metodológicos hemos optado por colocar como central la emergencia de nuevas identidades creadoras de tribalismos –las tribus digitales- y, a partir de ellas analizar las rupturas y las energías creadas por los roces entre libertad de crear y violencias (o mejor, sus límites). Por cuestiones operativas de delimitación del tema, nos enfocamos a la creación musical, en particular a los géneros urbanos.
