La ruta Lousiana-Michoacán. Itinerario del jazz en Michoacán durante el siglo XX

Abstract

The history of the Jazz throughout the twentieth century in Michoacan is the main discussion of this tesis. This musical genre underwent multiple struggles to be positioned and merge into a recreational and cultural delight, offered in the State. Therefore emphasis is made on the performance, institutions and cultural pólices, that narrate of is origins and cultural policies, that narrate of its origins and development. Hence, the research was done through theoretical and methodical perspectives of cultural history, as well as the sociology of music and ethnography.

La historia del Jazz a través del siglo XX en Michoacán es el tema central de esta tesis. Este género musical experimentó múltiples esfuerzos para ser posicionado y consolidado dentro de las ofertas lúdicas y culturales en el Estado. Por lo tanto, se hace énfasis en los ejecutantes, las instituciones y las políticas culturales que dan cuenta de sus orígenes y desarrollo. Por ende, la investigación se realizó desde las perspectivas teóricas y metodológicas de la historia cultural, así como de la sociología de la música y la etnografía.
