Catálogo documental de la Parroquia Santiago Apóstol de Santiago Tangamandapio Michoacán. Actas de bautizo de 1799-1809.

Abstract

For the present work, it was considered as a general objective, the cataloging of documents belonging to the archive of the Parish of the Patron Santiago in Santiago Tangamandapio Michoacan, being this one of the few places that still preserve old documentation. Considering that the loss of these records will leave a cultural vacuum in the population due to the lack of knowledge of their past. The cataloging of the documents, baptismal acts, speaking in this specific case, shows us the diversity of castes concentrated in the population, showing the ethnic diversity of the locality and its surroundings. The community had the only chapel where the sacraments administered by the population were administered. It is for them that I consider the catalog as the perfect tool to make the historical background that gave rise to the current city last.

Para el presente trabajo, se planteó como objetivo general, la catalogación de documentos pertenecientes al archivo de la Parroquia del Patrón Santiago en Santiago Tangamandapio Michoacán, siendo este uno de los pocos lugares que aun preservan documentación antigua. Considerando que la perdida de dichos registros dejara un vacío cultural en la población por el poco conocimiento de su pasado. La catalogación de los documentos, actas de bautizo, hablando en este caso en específico, nos muestra la diversidad de castas concentradas en la población, mostrando la diversidad étnica de la localidad y sus alrededores. La comunidad contaba con la única capilla donde se administraba los sacramentos que realizaba la población. Es por ello que considero al catálogo como la herramienta perfecta para hacer perdurar los antecedentes históricos que dieron origen a la urbe actual.
