Culturas y sociedades prehispánicas de la región Zacapu. Análisis y síntesis de fuentes arqueológicas e historiográficas

Abstract

The present work is a study of archaeological publications of the Zacapu region, together with a historiographical analysis of sources on prehispanic Zacapu, which seeks to organize and expose the cultural and social characteristics of the human groups that settled in the region during the prehispanic period. It contains the geographic description of the region, in its ancient and present characteristics, as well as the first signs of human occupation. The archaeological features of the cultures that settled in the Lomas of Lake Zacapu and their funerary traditions, and the process of urbanization of the Malpaís of Zacapu and its social organization; as well as their commercial relations and influence in other regions. The historiographic analysis of the events and traditions that developed in the Zacapu region during the Purepecha empire, as well as the organization and territorial scope of the prehispanic town of Zacapu.

El presente trabajo: es un estudio de publicaciones arqueológicas de la región de Zacapu, junto con un análisis historiográfico de fuentes sobre Zacapu prehispánico; que busca organizar y exponer las características culturales y sociales de los grupos humanos que se asentaron en la región durante el periodo prehispánico. Contiene la descripción geográfica de la región, en sus características antiguas y actuales, como también los primeros signos de ocupación humana. Los rasgos arqueológicos de las culturas que se asentaron en las Lomas del lago de Zacapu y sus tradiciones funerarias, y el proceso de urbanización del Malpaís de Zacapu y su organización social; al igual que, sus relaciones comerciales e influencia en otras regiones. El análisis historiográfico de los acontecimientos y tradiciones que se desarrollaron en la región de Zacapu durante el imperio Purépecha, así como, la organización y el alcance territorial del pueblo prehispánico de Zacapu.
