El turismo cultural en la ciudad de Morelia, 1956-1992

Abstract

In this investigation I will show the main characteristics that the city of Morelia has had and specifically, its historic center, in terms of the theme of cultural tourism and the effect that this had within the Morelia society and the tourists who came to it, this between the years of 1956 to 1992. In this work I will show the development of the city through the years marked in the title in terms of cultural tourism, mainly academic sources will be analyzed, as well as archives and the University Public Newspaper Library and various articles related to the subject. This work will show the evolution of tourism in the city of Morelia, the public policies and government plans that seek to boost tourism, as well as the registered events and organization of cultural events which marked the history of tourism in the city. of Morelia and also, these same events demonstrate the tourist value of Morelia since the creation of the Reglamento de Conservación in the year 1956 until the integration of the Historic Center to the UNESCO in 1991.

En esta investigación reflexionaré sobre los principales procesos que ha tenido la ciudad de Morelia y en concreto, su centro histórico, en cuanto a la temática de turismo cultural y el efecto que tuvo este dentro de la sociedad moreliana y los turistas que a esta acudían, esto entre los años de 1956 a 1992. Este trabajo estará enfocado metodológicamente con base en los estudios patrimoniales, así como la historia social en general y, a través de él mostraré el desarrollo de la ciudad a través de los años marcados en el título de ciudad patrimonio mundial en cuanto al turismo cultural, se analizarán fuentes de carácter académico principalmente, así como también archivos y la Hemeroteca Pública Universitaria y diversos artículos relacionados con el tema. La investigación mostrará la evolución del turismo en la ciudad de Morelia, las políticas públicas y planes gubernamentales con los que se buscó dar impulso al turismo, así como también los sucesos registrados y organización de eventos culturales, los cuales marcaron la historia del turismo en la ciudad de Morelia. Estos mismos sucesos demuestran el valor turístico de Morelia desde la creación de su reglamento de conservación más importante, en 1956, hasta la integración del centro Histórico a lista de ciudades Patrimonio Cultural de la Humanidad por la UNESCO en 1991.
