Abstract

Health constitutes an important part of human capital, which includes not only the absence of disease, but also the complete state of physical, mental and social well-being so that the personnel can achieve the full development of their human faculties. It is indispensable the participation of the worker in the preventive and corrective effort of the health and safety in the hospital institutions, we all know that the conditions in which we carry out an action have an impact on the efficiency of our activity. The work environment influences the motivation to execute the task and the ability with which it is executed. Once the work area is improved making it more comfortable and enjoyable the performance of the employees will improve. Hospital institutions hire healthy people, so they must avoid accidents or illness in the development of their work. Both workers and senior management must always protect their physical and mental integrity by considering the health risks inherent in the activity being performed and the environment where it is performed. Good working conditions, in which not only the absence of risk, but also the comfort and satisfaction of the worker, are considered as important elements for the quality of the task performed, the absence of errors and the improvement of productivity, key aspects for competitiveness. The fundamental principles of safety and hygiene are related to the study of 2 main factors are the worker and his work environment.

La salud constituye una parte importante en el capital humano, la cual no solo comprende la ausencia de enfermedades, sino el estado completo de bienestar físico, mental y social para que el personal logre el completo desarrollo de sus facultades humanas. Es indispensable la participación del trabajador en el esfuerzo preventivo y correctivo de la seguridad e higiene en las instituciones hospitalarias, todos sabemos que las condiciones en que realizamos una acción repercuten en la eficiencia de nuestra actividad. El ambiente laboral influye en la motivación para ejecutar la tarea y la habilidad con que ésta se ejecuta. Una vez que se mejora el área laboral haciéndolo más cómodo y agradable el desempeño de los empleados mejorará. Las instituciones hospitalarias contratan gente sana, por lo tanto deben evitar que sufran accidentes o enfermedades en el desarrollo de su trabajo. Tanto los trabajadores como la alta gerencia deben proteger siempre la integridad física y mental considerando los riesgos de salud inherentes a la actividad que se realiza y al ambiente donde se ejecuta. Las buenas condiciones de trabajo, en las que se persigue no solo la ausencia del riesgo, sino el propio confort y satisfacción del trabajador, se consideran como elementos importantes para la calidad de la tarea realizada, la ausencia de errores y la mejora de la productividad, aspectos claves para la competitividad. Los principios fundamentales de seguridad e higiene se relacionan con el estudio de 2 factores principales que son el trabajador y su ambiente de trabajo.
