Estudio semiótico jurídico de la película Philadelphia de Jonathan Demme (1993)

Abstract

The Philadelphia film reproduces diverse discriminatory, excluding and homophobic juridical and social problems that come to be represented at a structural level in several of its scenes. So we resort to the analysis of the symbolic fields of law and cinema, which generate the meaning that the text raises from its notional structure, which finally referred us to consider this film as a rebellious position in favor of lesbian groups, gays , transsexuals and bisexuals (L.G.T.B.) and those who are carriers of HIV-aids. This transdisciplinary research proposed to identify those semiotic codes that reinterpret sociocultural difficulties due to homosexual sexual preference and HIV-aids disease at present.

La película de Philadelphia reproduce diversas problemáticas jurídico y sociales discriminatorias, excluyentes y homofóbicas, que llegan a representarse a nivel estructural en diversas de sus escenas. Por lo que recurrimos al análisis de los campos simbólicos del derecho y del cine, los cuales generan el sentido que el texto plantea desde su estructura nocional, lo que finalmente nos remitió considerar este filme como una posición contestataria a favor de los grupos lésbico, gays, transexuales y bisexuales (L.G.T.B.) y de quienes son portadores de VIH-sida. Esta investigación transdisciplinar propuso identificar aquellos códigos semióticos que reinterpretan las dificultades socioculturales por preferencia sexual homosexual y la enfermedad del VIH-sida en la actualidad.
