Resumen : | CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY The market for Green, Social and Sustainable Bonds (as a whole Labeled Bonds) was created as a result of the growing demand from investors for investment opportunities with an environmental, social and sustainability impact. Invariably, they are debt financial instruments, whose resources are used to finance or refinance green, social or sustainable assets or projects. Green Bonds maintain the same regulatory status as any other traditional bond and are issued through the usual institutional channels. GREEN BONDS AS AN INVESTMENT ALTERNATIVE AND EXERCISE OF CSR In Mexico, the CCFV issued the MX Green Bonds Principles in order to establish standards for the process of structuring and placing a bond, in the Mexican market, that can be called green. With this, it is also intended to provide clarity and certainty to issuers and investors about the expected environmental benefit of projects financed with the proceeds of the issue or credit. Some of the benefits that investors obtain by acquiring this type of asset is that they finance projects with social and/or environmental responsibility without having an additional risk or cost, since they only take the risk of the issuer without being exposed to the underlying risk of the projects, in addition, have greater transparency of the destination of the funds, as well as diversification, among other advantages. On the other hand, the benefit obtained by the issuer is, mainly, the increase in reputational value as an institution for promoting and implementing this type of project. |
