Marx y el Estado como relación social: la teoría del Estado a la luz de la teoría del don

Abstract

The present research aims to investigate how the gift theory can contribute to the theory of the State. The overarching problem that will serve as a guiding thread is: How can the gift theory contribute to the theory of the State? Of course, the question assumes, first and foremost, that the gift theory contributes to the theory of the State. The hypothesis is that the gift theory can contribute in at least two aspects: firstly, in resolving formal or systematic problems of the State, and secondly, in contributing to the genetic or historical theory of the State. This is for two reasons: one, epistemological, because the gift theory has theoretical potential to contribute to the general theory of society and therefore to that of the State, particularly through the category of total social fact. Secondly, because it adds the variable of the gift itself to the total sphere of society: if the theory of the State presupposes a general theory of society, and for it to be complete it needs to consider something constituent of it, such as the social relations of the gift, then the theory of the State benefits from considering the gift relations that exist within it.

La presente investigación tiene como propósito investigar como la teoría del don puede contribuir a la teoría del Estado. El problema general que fungirá? como ruta de guía es ¿cómo puede contribuir la teoría del don a la teoría del Estado? Desde luego, la pregunta presupone en primer lugar, que la teoría del don contribuye a la teoría del Estado. La hipótesis es que en la teoría del don puede contribuir por lo menos en dos aspectos: por una parte, a resolver problemas formales o sistemáticos del Estado, y, en segundo lugar, contribuye a la teoría genética o histórica del Estado. Ello por dos razones: una, epistemológica, es porque la teoría del don tiene potencia teórica para aportar a la teoría general de la sociedad y por tanto a la del Estado en particular gracias a la categoría de hecho social total. En segundo lugar, porque agrega la variable del don mismo a la esfera total de la sociedad: si la teoría del Estado presupone una teoría general de la sociedad, y para que esta sea completa necesita considerar algo constituyente de la misma como lo son las relaciones sociales del don, entonces la teoría del Estado se beneficia de considerar en su seno a las relaciones del don que existen en la misma.
