Abstract: The natural perturbations such as tropical storms and hurricanes have a potentially catastrophic effect on many tropical regions of the world. It’s has been argued that the damage caused by the wind associated with storms is responsible of the structure of the forest in regions with frequent hurricanes. Due to the hurricanes are more frequently in tropical areas, it is expected that these are important in the organization of the forest in both the flora and fauna. While the physics alterations provoked by this type of perturbation are obvious, the effects on the biota aren’t. Although there is evidence of the hurricanes affect the communities of amphibious and reptile’s residents there are no studies that evaluate the effect of the hurricane on communities of reptiles on sites in process of regeneration of the forest. So the objective of present work is to review the actual status of knowledge about the response of the vertebrates and in particular on the assembly of reptiles, to the hurricanes on sites with anthropic perturbation.
