Aplicación del modelo de Dorothea Orem en infección de vías urinarias de pacientes y personal del hospital de zona en Nueva Italia, Michoacán

Abstract

Urinary tract infections can occur at any stage of life, either at an early age or after this, we found in this research that 79% of the 100 patients surveyed indicated having suffered at some point in their life’s infection of the urinary tract urinary tract and 54% indicated that they currently suffer from this pathology, whether man or woman such an infection may occur. Nursing can become a fundamental pillar in the prevention of these infections, giving quality in our care is essential, because we not only prevent, but we help the patient to integrate more quickly into their activities and be able to carry out their selfcare. Although part of the staff does not have sufficient knowledge about the installation of bladder catheterization according to the results obtained in this investigation and the investigation carried out by the Secretary of Health, it is considered that our duty is to be up to date with the investigation, with the aim of improving our services. We conclude that the Dorothea E. Orem Theory Model does influence the incidence of urinary tract infections; when we guide patients and families, as well as when registering any relevant data in our nursing sheet, we provide direct and indirect care in the prevention and recovery of our patients, which allows them to learn to carry out activities that are beneficial for themselves. Las infecciones de vías urinarias se pueden presentar en cualquier etapa de la vida, ya sea a temprana edad o posterior a esta, encontramos en esta investigación que un 79% de los 100 pacientes encuestados indico haber sufrido en algún momento de su vida infección de vías urinarias y un 54% señalo que actualmente sufre esta patología, sea hombre o mujer puede presentarse tal infección. Otro dato importante es que el 82% del personal que labora en el HINI realiza el lavado de manos antes de realizar la instalación de sondaje vesical, así como la implementación de algún método de la teoría de Dorothea E. Orem para el cuidado del paciente. La enfermería puede llegar a ser un pilar fundamental en la prevención de estas infecciones, dar calidad en nuestros cuidados es esencial; pues no solo prevenimos, sino que ayudamos a que el paciente se integre más prontamente a sus actividades y sea capaz de realizar su autocuidado. Aunque parte del personal no cuenta con el conocimiento suficiente sobre la instalación de sondaje vesical de acuerdo con los resultados obtenidos en esta investigación y la investigación realizada por la Secretaria de Salud, se considera que nuestro deber es estar al día a día con la investigación, con el objetivo de mejorar nuestros servicios. Concluimos que el Modeló de la Teórica Dorothea E. Orem si influye en la incidencia de las infecciones de vías urinarias; cuando orientamos a pacientes y familiares, así como al momento de registrar cualquier dato relevante en nuestra hoja de enfermería brindamos cuidados directos e indirectos en la prevención y recuperación de nuestros pacientes, los cuales les permite aprender a realizar por sí mismo actividades que son benéficas para su salud.
