Abstract

The following documentary catalog addresses the deaths of various individuals in Valladolid, which is now known as Morelia, and their documentation in the Historical Parish Archive of the Metropolitan Sagrario of Morelia (AHPSMM), colloquially known as the Capuchinas temple. The catalog includes information such as the day, year, and month of death, the cause of death in some cases, and the cemetery where the burial took place. It also provides tables of contents, an onomastic index, and details about the different documents that can be found in the archive. The documentary discusses the current rules of archival description, with the most essential one being the ISAD-(G), which stands for "General International Standard Archival Description". The catalog also addresses the various social problems experienced during that time, mostly related to the church and its institutions, as well as the types of violence that they represented for society as a whole. Lastly, it highlights the rescue and assistance provided by the Red de Archivistas Michoacanos, A.C. (REDAMICH) on several occasions.

El siguiente catálogo documental aborda las defunciones de diversas personas en Valladolid lo que hoy conocemos como Morelia y su documentación en el Archivo Histórico Parroquial del Sagrario Metropolitano de Morelia (AHPSMM) coloquialmente mejor conocido como templo de Capuchinas, en la cual se menciona el día, año y mes de muerte, en algunos casos la forma de como ocurrió, el panteón o cementerio del entierro. Junto con las tablas contenido, su índice onomástico y los diferentes documentos que se pueden encontrar en dicho archivo. Se habla de las reglas de descripción archivística vigentes, como la más esencial se podría decir que es la ISAD-(G), que en sus siglas en español significa “norma internacional general de descripción archivística”. Los diferentes problemas sociales que se vivían en la época mayormente por parte de la iglesia y sus diferentes instituciones, así como los tipos de violencia que estos representaban para la sociedad en general. Y sobre el rescate y ayuda que ha brindado la Red de Archivistas Michoacanos, A.C. (REDAMICH), en diversas oportunidades que ha tenido.
