Abstract: In the present investigation the aim was to determine the presence, characterize morphological, molecular and pathogenically Fusarium spp., associated to the rot of cranberry (Vaccinium corymbosum L.) in the producing region of Michoacán, México. The collection of diseased plants was made in seven municipalities, in eight communities (five orchards for community). 23 strains were obtained. The morphological characterization was made by its cultural characteristics in PDA nutrient medium and growth rate, and the microscopic presence and absence of macroconidia, microconidia, clamidospores and rolled hyphae in CLA nutrient medium. Molecularly it was characterized by DNA extraction of the strains, later a fragment of the extracted DNA was amplified, based on the initiators that codifies for the region ITS1 and 4 (rDNA), CaM, H3 and EF-1a. The pathogenicity of the strains was evaluated to determinate the interaction phytopathogen host, by tests made in plants of cranberry obtained from in vitro propagation to assure its health, five plants by strain were inoculated with a solution of conidia. The virulence and severity of the damage presented in the foliage was evaluated. The morphological analysis indicated that the 23 strains belong to the gender Fusarium. With the amplified sequences of DNA by the gens ITS1 and 4 (rDNA), CaM, H3 and EF-1a 13 strains that belongs to Fusarium oxysporum Schl, were identified which correspond to the strains LRE1, ZIH21, ZIR12, ZIR13, LRE2, SAN8, TAC16, SAN9, TAC15, ZIH22, ZIR14, ZIH23 and SAN7, of this the strains LRE1, ZIH21, ZIR12, ZIR13 with F. oxysporum f. sp fragarriae and SAN9 with F. oxysporum f. sp opuntiarum. The remaining 10 strains with Fusarium Sublutinans (ZIR19, TAN5, TAN6, LRE3, ZAM11, ZAM10, TIR17, ZIH20, TAN4 y TIR18).
