Los rituales de la muerte en Pátzcuaro siglo XVII

Abstract

For the Hispanic culture of the seventeenth century there were a series of rituals before, during and after the departure, unlike the pre-Hispanic Tarascans, which were enough with the proper preparation and burial of the body, however for both cultures it was necessary to ritualize death in a way sacred to make it understandable. Therefore, we propose to know what was the meaning that they had for both the Tarascan and Spanish cultures in their respective mortuary rites, to later learn how the rituals were unified in the seventeenth century, focusing research on Patzcuaro

Para la cultura hispánica del siglo XVII había una serie de rituales antes durante y después de la partida, a diferencia de los tarascos prehispánicos que les bastaba con la adecuada preparación e inhumación del cuerpo, sin embargo para ambas culturas fue necesario ritualizar la muerte de manera sagrada para hacerla comprensible. Por lo que nos proponemos conocer cuál fue el significado que tenían tanto para la cultura tarasca como para la española en sus respectivos los ritos mortuorios, para posteriormente conocer cómo se unificaron los rituales en el siglo XVII, centrando la investigación en Pátzcuaro.
