Juana Belén Gutiérrez: tejiendo redes de legitimidad y visibilidad en el mundo de los letrados

Abstract

Juana B. Gutiérrez de Mendoza was a Mexican woman who broke with the stereotype of her time, cataloged under the adjective of rebellious, transgressive and revolutionary. Born in a time of transition, humble birth and a great mental ability that allowed him gradually take advantage of the crisis of 1910, occupy new spaces, and position themselves in various circles of influence that gave him a constant physical mobility and ideological dynamism. The main objective of the present investigation was to analyze the life and trajectory of conformation of the Mexican writer through the concept of autonomous intellectual, researchers Ángel Rama, and Leandro Delgado, articulated through three temporalities: self-taught, literate and intellectual explain the performance of Juana B. Gutiérrez de Mendoza in the public and political scene of Mexico in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, to show the existence of a female intelligentsia at that time.

Juana B. Gutiérrez de Mendoza fue una mujer mexicana que rompió con el estereotipo de su época, catalogada bajo el adjetivo de rebelde, transgresora y revolucionaria. Nació en una época de transición, de cuna humilde y de una gran habilidad mental que le permitió de manera paulatina aprovechar la crisis de 1910, ocupar nuevos espacios, y posicionarse en diversos círculos de influencia que le dieron una constante movilidad física y dinamismo ideológico. El objetivo central de la presente investigación fue analizar la vida y trayectoria de conformación de la escritora mexicana a través del concepto de intelectual autónomo, de los investigadores Ángel Rama, y Leandro Delgado, articulado a través de tres temporalidades: autodidacta, letrada e intelectual que expliquen el desempeño de Juana B. Gutiérrez de Mendoza en la escena pública y política del México de finales del siglo XIX y principios del XX, para mostrar la existencia de una intelectualidad femenina en dicha época.
