Abstract

This work tries to approach the aspects related to the elaboration of bridge projects in a practical way, using the appropriate tools, that will help to improve the current road network, which uses the State and Municipal Federal Government with the relation to obtain the economic resources To strategically plan the implementation of the same. The main topics discussed in this work are: Chapter 1 describes the phenomenon of undermining piles and stirrups in bridges, and mentions the variables that must intervene in a determined way. Chapter 2 presents the characteristics of the basin. Chapter 3 describes the hydrological study of the basin, the methods used and the collection of expenditures. Chapter 4 describes the general characteristics of the geotechnical study and the results obtained in the laboratory. Chapter 5 describes the general characteristics of the bridge in terms of location, geometry, shape and hydraulic characteristics. In Chapter 6, the various analytical methods for quantifying the undercutting of the bridge described in Chapter 4 are applied. The results will be compared and (qualitative) repair recommendations will be made, the discussion on the different methods presented will be presented, showing the Advantages or disadvantages, in terms of their application to real problems. In addition, the different methods developed to estimate the depth of local scouring in the piles supported on the material are presented, the methods are considered that are considered more efficient to protect the piles against the local scouring. Finally, the general recommendations and conclusions are reflected in chapter 7.

Este trabajo trata de abordar los aspectos relacionados con la elaboración de proyectos de puentes de una forma práctica, utilizando las herramientas adecuadas, que ayudara a mejorar la red carretera actual, que emplea el Gobierno Federal Estatal y Municipal con la relación para obtener los recursos económicos para planear estratégicamente la aplicación de los mismo. Los temas fundamentales que se trata en este trabajo son: En el capítulo 1 se describe el fenómeno de la socavación en pilas y estribos en puentes, y se mencionan las variables que deben intervenir en forma determinada. En el capítulo 2 se presentaran las características de la cuenca. En el capítulo 3 se describen el estudio hidrológico de la cuenca, los métodos que se utilizaron y la obtención de los gastos. En el capítulo 4 se describe las características generales sobre el estudio de geotecnia y los resultados obtenidos en el laboratorio. En el capítulo 5 se describe las características generales del puente en cuanto su ubicación, geometría, forma y las características hidráulicas. En el capítulo 6 se aplican los diversos métodos analíticos para cuantificar la socavación al puente descrito en el capítulo 4. Se compararán los resultados y se realizarán recomendaciones de reparación (cualitativas), se presenta la discusión acerca de los diferentes métodos expuestos, haciendo ver las ventajas o desventajas, en cuanto a su aplicación a los problemas reales. Además se presentan los diferentes métodos desarrollados para estimar la profundidad de socavación local en las pilas apoyadas sobre el material, se presentan los métodos que se consideran más eficientes para proteger las pilas contra la socavación local. Por último las recomendaciones generales y conclusiones se plasman en el capítulo 7.
