Restauración del conjunto religioso de Jéruco Michoacán e integración a su entorno urbano

Abstract

Cultural heritage is the identity and knowledge that is constantly inherited in a society, it is the set of values and traditions that are reflected in the tangible and intangible things that are daily realized, and it is what is learned and transmitted from a generation to another, so it will never cease until the human being disappears. All cultural heritage is important and valuable; that of the great and small monuments, even the most common and the ordinary tasks, since in most cases the value lies in everyday factors and closer to the values and identity of a people, for which it is an obligation and responsibility for the society to care for and preserve it. The following document addresses the proposal for the restoration and preservation of the 16th-century religious complex of Jéruco, located in the municipality of Cuitzeo Michoacán; which will allow it to recover its monumental architecture and its integration with its immediate urban context; the intervention aims to help safeguard the cultural heritage of Jéruco, and that the monument remains useful to its community, which is the most interested in preserving it, because it is part of its cultural and religious values, being an important symbol from its origin as it was the very beginning of the population of Jéruco. This work shows the importance and way of preserving a historical monument through conducting a process of research and analysis, where various disciplines of knowledge converge to reach a single goal, requiring an understanding complete of the monument, to make a correct diagnosis and opinion that will conclude in an intervention project that solves the problems of conservation of the same.

El patrimonio cultural es la identidad y el conocimiento que se hereda constantemente en una sociedad, es el conjunto de valores y tradiciones que se reflejan en las cosas tangibles e intangibles que diariamente se realizan, y es lo que se aprende y transmite de una generación a otra, por lo cual nunca cesará hasta que desaparezca el ser humano. Todo el patrimonio cultural es importante y valioso; el de los grandes y pequeños monumentos, incluso el más común y de los quehaceres ordinarios, ya que en la mayoría de las ocasiones el valor reside en factores cotidianos y más cercanos a los valores e identidad de un pueblo, por lo cual es una obligación y responsabilidad para la sociedad el cuidarlo y preservarlo. El siguiente documento aborda la propuesta de restauración y conservación del conjunto religioso del siglo XVI de Jéruco, localizado en el municipio de Cuitzeo Michoacán; lo cual le permitirá recuperar su arquitectura monumental y su integración con su contexto urbano inmediato; la intervención pretende ayudar a salvaguardar el patrimonio cultural de Jéruco, y que el monumento siga siendo útil a su comunidad, que es la mayor interesada en conservarlo, debido a que forma parte de sus valores culturales y religiosos, siendo un símbolo importante desde su origen ya que fue el propio inicio de la población de Jéruco. Este trabajo muestra la importancia y la manera de conservar un monumento histórico a través de realizar un proceso de investigación y análisis, en donde convergen varias disciplinas del conocimiento para llegar a un solo objetivo, siendo necesaria una comprensión completa del monumento, para realizar un correcto diagnóstico y dictamen que concluirá en un proyecto de intervención que solucione los problemas de conservación del mismo.
