Proyecto de restauración del Museo de Historia Natural "Manuel Martínez Solórzano"

Abstract

It is not always necessary to speak of the cultural heritage built as great architectural works with colossal dimensions, a singular beauty and that are specific actors in the history of a city, region, state or country. In this case, we will talk about the architectural transformation of a property that began as a country house, as an important part of the growth and the entry of a new era in the last half of the 19th century in this City of Morelia, later used as a residential house and at present to the Museum of Natural History "Manuel Martínez Solórzano", sheltered in the arms of Our Universidad Michoacana. This thesis deals with a proposal to restore this property from the point of view of a specialist, but at the same time suggesting the participation of different disciplines in order to attack its original problems. This will be influenced by different factors, from the historical nature, to be able to give rise to its reconstruction and different construction stages that it has had and of which have given rise to deterioration that currently afflicts this building. The nature of the study and structural diagnosis of its walls and an analysis of its natural environment in order to do the least possible damage. For this reason, we have given ourselves the task of leaving this document open for other proposals and future studies in other disciplines that may contribute in order to carry out a correct intervention of this property that is part of the Bosque Cuauhtémoc and its thousands of stories.

No siempre se tiene que hablar del patrimonio cultural edificado como grandes obras arquitectónicas con dimensiones colosales, una belleza singular y que sean actores puntuales dentro de la historia de una ciudad, región, estado o del país. En este caso, hablaremos de la transformación arquitectónica de un inmueble que comenzó como casa de campo, como parte importante del crecimiento y la entrada de una nueva era en la última mitad del siglo XIX en esta Ciudad de Morelia, posteriormente utilizada como casa habitación y en la actualidad al Museo de Historia Natural "Manuel Martínez Solórzano", cobijada en los brazos de Nuestra Universidad Michoacana. La presente tesina aborda la una propuesta de restauración de este inmueble desde el punto de vista de un especialista, pero al mismo tiempo sugiriendo la participación de diferentes disciplinas para poder atacar sus problemas de origen. En ello influirán diferentes factores, desde el carácter histórico, para poder dar un origen a su reconstrucción y diferentes etapas constructivas que ha tenido y de los cuales han dado origen a deterioros que en la actualidad aquejan a este edificio. El carácter del estudio y diagnostico estructural de sus paramentos y un análisis de su entorno natural para poder hacer el menor daño posible. Por tal motivo nos hemos dado a la tarea de dejar este documento abierto para otras propuestas y estudios futuros en otras disciplinas que puedan aportar para en su momento realizar una correcta intervención de este inmueble que forma parte del bosque Cuauhtémoc y sus miles de historias.
