Zusammenfassung: Material and methods: Se I perform a descriptive, observational cross-sectional study conducted to adolescents aged 10 to 16, which included clinical history, measurement of TA, was somatometria, body composition and takes of glucose and insulin in fasting and postprandial, TGS, CL and HDL; variables were analyzed with statistical average +/-standard deviation with percentages and distribution with high-low percentile and teamed up with x 2 and compare averages with student T data were analysed in package SPSS version 15.0. Results: It included 146 patients, 69 Acanthosis nigricans and 77 without acanthosis nigricans between 10 and 16 years of age between May 2008 and June 2009, patients with Acanthosis nigricans, 47 patients presented obesity 22 did, 45 presented the insulin resistance and 24 had no insulin resistance while 49 patients had a glucose normal fasting 19 submitted 1 diabetes and pre-diabetes. In cholesterol and Trigliceridos values these were greater in adolescents with Acanthosis nigricans with respect to the of no Acanthosis, while HDL levels were higher in the latter group. Conclusions: Teens with Acanthosis nigricans is greater obesity related than those who do not have Acanthosis, there is greater risk in adolescents with Acanthosis nigricans develop resistance to insulin. Obesity in adolescents has a high ratio to develop resistance to insulin as well as alterations in lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides and HDL).
