Zusammenfassung: To experience generalized pain, associated with psychosomatic disorders and their chronicity, the main characteristics of FM predominantly in women, which interferes with their daily lives. Objective: To relate pain and its interference in the activities of patients with PFM. Material and Methods: Descriptive, observational, cross-sectional, retrospective design using the Brief Questionnaire of Pain (BPI). We included 42 patients, diagnosed with PFM, aged between 20 and 60 years. The statistical analysis was as mean ± SD, percentages for continuous variables, and Sperman correlation. RESULTS: We studied 42 women, with a range of 38 years, the maximum intensity of pain was rated 8-10 of VAS in 32 patients (76%), at the time of the interview the present pain intensity was 8-10 in 18 patients (42.9%). The maximum interference was presented by frequency in sleep and mood, but when correlating with Rho de Sperman was obtained greater interference in the work. Conclusions: The evaluation of pain is difficult because of its subjective context and the environment in which it manifests itself. Pain does interfere with daily activities, especially at work, (inside or outside the home), followed by the ability to walk, at greater intensity, greater interference.
