Abstract: Erectile dysfunction is defined as persistent or recurrent to achieve or maintain penile rigidity sufficient to permit satisfactory sexual intercourse disability; should have a length of at least 3 months. Since time immemorial, people have worried both erection and erectile dysfunction. Likewise, erectile dysfunction, affects the quality of life of patients and their partners. Estimated to affect about 100 million adult men in the world and will affect 322 million in 2025. The etiology of erectile dysfunction can be organic, psychogenic or mixed. OBJECTIVE. To determine the frequency of erectile dysfunction in male patients beneficiaries of UMF 80 with an age range between 25 and 34 years. MATERIAL AND METHODS. Through observational, cross-sectional, retrospective, descriptive study 203 male patients, beneficiaries of the FMU N. 80 to which is applied survey IIEF-5 (International Index of Erectile Dysfunction) to mark the frequency of erectile dysfunction are discussed. The variables are degree of erectile dysfunction, age, occupation, religion, anthropometric measurements, vital signs, laboratory studies; glucose, urea, creatinine, cholesterol, triglycerides and uric acid. RESULTS. The frequency of erectile dysfunction in adult man 25-34 years was: 48 patients with dysfunction and 155 without dysfunction. Patients with a high school education level 8.9%. As a risk factor associated mainly the 11.3% alcohol consumption and smoking found in 18.2 % CONCLUSIONS. Erectile dysfunction has many causes; there is no relationship specific cause.
